Katie Choma has been in the events and travel industry for 10+ years, where she made it her goal to actively educate herself on as many aspects of both industries as possible. Her travel experience ranges from planning group travel for conferences to individual planning for trips around the world. On the events side, her experience spans being an audiovisual tech, race director for triathlons, wedding planner, and corporate meeting planner for events ranging from 100 to 2,000+ attendees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she managed the transition from in-person events to virtual and hybrid platforms for health care associations.
Today, Katie focuses on global meeting and incentive travel planning for the Southwestern Family of Companies and its clients. She is an avid traveler in her free time, including any excuse to scuba dive in the ocean, hike up a mountain, or do anything else adventurous. It’s her belief that the world is meant to be seen and experienced, and it’s never too late to try something new and find joy in both the big and small parts of life. Her strengths lie in organizing the chaos that meeting logistics and travel planning can be, while leaving each and every client with a positive and uplifting experience.
