Southwestern Travel Group Statement Regarding COVID-19
Southwestern Travel Group has implemented protocols and work with vendors that prioritize traveler health and safety, but we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed to COVID-19 during your travels. The risk of being exposed or becoming sick due to COVID-19 cannot be eliminated. Every traveler shares the responsibility for a safe and healthy travel experience. It is your responsibility to read and comply with all instructions and signage posted at the destination, throughout the airports and flights, and at the hotel or resort accommodation. Stay home if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Wear a face covering in designated areas and maintain at least 6 feet physical distancing from other guests, including in lift lines. Wash and sanitize your hands frequently. Finally, follow the recommended health safety guidance, protocols, and restrictions imposed on businesses from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US Department of State.
Update: As of January 26, 2021, air passengers entering the United States from a foreign jurisdiction are required to either:
(1) Get a test for current infection within the three calendar days before their flight to the U.S. departs, and provide written documentation of their laboratory test result (paper or electronic copy) to the airline, OR
(2) Provide the airline with proof of recovery from COVID-19 evidenced by a recent positive viral test and a letter from a healthcare provider or a public health official confirming that they were cleared to travel.

Before traveling, make sure you pack several protective face masks as well as your health insurance information.
Check with your airline carrier and hotel prior to travel as well for restrictions, requirements, and adjustments to inflight services, check-in options, and/or on-property amenities. If your trip was canceled due to COVID-19, we will be altering our normal cancellation policy. We are working with our vendors to recoup as much money as possible, as quickly as possible. We ask for your understanding and patience throughout this process.

Recommendations to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases like COVID-19 are as follows:
Adhere to the 6-foot Social Distancing recommendation from the CDC.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

For travelers in the local Nashville, TN market, RxGenomix will provide a full concierge approach to give you peace of mind. They offer and follow-through on same-day guaranteed turnaround time for any patient testing with them before 11am. Should you test with them after 11am, M-F, we can still commit to a 24 hour turnaround time or less, again for local patients in the Nashville, TN market.
As for travelers/patients that are not local, RxGenomix will initiate the following strategy to ensure they still receive the best experience and quick turnarounds:
For planned travel (a few weeks ahead of planned departure) – RxGenomix will ship priority lab kit to the travelers attention, including a return label for specimen processing the same week.
For immediate travel (2 weeks or less ahead of departure) – we will ship lab kit via Next Day Air and include a next day air return label for specimen processing the day of specimen receipt.
Regardless of scenario, RxGenomix will reach out to each member to secure a consent form for HIPAA purposes but also to confirm their contact information so they can send the formal lab report to their attention upon completion.
